Bin for Fruit Leather

          A set of Bins for Fruit Leather for the Asaloda Electric Dryer (3 trays included)

          The baking trays are made from high quality, eco-friendly food-grade plastic, which is specially designed for this purpose and does not harm health. It is absolutely inert to food products, i.e. does not react with food products under any circumstances. Consequently, no unwanted processes but moisture abstraction occur while drying the products. The baking trays of the electric dryer are made from opaque material to keep more vitamins during drying, as vitamins and nutrients are destroyed in the light.

          Bins have a diameter of Ø 31 cm and are installed directly on the baking tray.

          Fruit Leather

          According to your choice, fruit leather can be made from sweetened (with sugar or honey) or not sweetened, boiled or not boiled mashed fruits, berries or vegetables. The fruit leather made from the puree mashed in a mixer is more even, while the hand-made puree has thicker pieces and dries longer. Thicker fruit leather is made from coarsely grated products. Mixer is the best way of making banana and kiwi mash. Only berries can be ground manually.

          As an option, you can add some nuts, yogurt or condensed milk, medicinal herbs, steamed cereals and honey into your fruit leather. Also, you can make muesli bars with oatmeal and other cereals added.

          Add seeds and nuts carefully, as the raw ones doesn’t seem to be very tasty, ground seeds and nuts oxidize quickly and can spoil the fruit leather taste, while the fried ones usually absorb the aroma of fruits. Some experience is needed here, so try to experiment in small portions.

          In order to make fruit leather from vegetables or quickly oxidizing fruits like apples, apricots, peaches, etc. it is better to bake them first, cool them then mash the baked products. Also, you can make a puree, bring it to a boil, let it cool then make the fruit leather from it. It’s better to peel any thick-skinned fruits and vegetables.

          ATTENTION: high humidity of products (the presence of a large amount of juice in puree) increases the drying time of fruit leather
